Mozilla does not typically write add-ons and has always taken the position from the beginning that they are the sole responsibility of the add-on author. Betas have been available for months before release.
However there are some things that Mozilla and volunteers have put in place to help users, and add-on authors identify problems.

As for phone calls what do you think a phone call would cost a company to help you with a usage problem do you think $20- $50. But you expect a fix and that is not a "how to use" problem. A usage solution would be don't use add-ons that's more help than you would have gotten from our company's outsourced help desk. How much did you pay for all of your browsers.
