I uninstalled firefox then reinstalled firefox...but lost all my bookmarks with the new reinstalled version. Please advise me how to recover my bookmarks.
I uninstalled firefox then reinstalled firefox. because I did not like a couple of add-ons that I wanted to remove. I thought I would still have all of my bookmarks. However, all my bookmarks were cleaned out with the new installed version. Then I tried to Repair Windows in System Restore to back track a few days in hope to recover the old version of firefox. It did not get back the old version and no bookmarks. I still get the new version with no bookmarks. Please advise me how to recover my bookmarks.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
