FF crashes frequently

Frequently crashes, sometimes several times in an hour, sometimes days apart. Was happening with FF3, and I suspected a problem with a plugin, but disabling didn't help. My understanding is that a FF4 crash isn't caused by a plugin, so I don't know what to do. Also have an issue with FF using 100% of resources and it hangs. Usually have Gmail open in a tab. Malware scans clear.

Love the browser. Crashes/hangs are driving me crazy.

Issue has resolved itself. Using FF 4.0.1, with plugins automatically updating themselves. Whatever the problem was, it's working well now.
