I don't see an answer. How does one disable Kerberos in Firefox? Whenever I launch Firefox, it demands my Kerberos credentials. I don't have Kerberos credentials, and it is not in use here. I've repaired permissions, checked my keychain for aberrant info.
What exactly does the window requesting authentication say?
Most likely, it is being launched from one of the tabs that open with Firefox. If this is the case, you must either set your home page to remove that tab (How to set the home page) or simply close the tab before exiting.
Reply back here with the exact message, and I can give you more details about what it means.
See "Connection settings": Firefox can't load websites but other browsers can
You can find the connection setting here: Firefox > Preferences > Advanced : Network : Connection If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select No Proxy or possibly "System Proxy"
Thanks: What I had to do was go to a different location (with my mac) and access the internet via a different isp; this allowed me to access the Firefox > Preferences > Advanced : Network : Connection (something at the primary site would not let this tab open). I selected 'no Proxy' and this freed it up. rm
Hi,
I too am experiencing the same problem as rich mcalpine. See screenshot for the pop up message. I have a new job and have inherited this problem on the mac allocated to me. Unfortunately I am not able to access the internet via a different ISP. What can I do?
To disable kerberos authentication for firefox in MAC OSX.
Type about:config in the address bar. Set
network.negotiate-auth.allow-proxies and network.negotiate-auth.using-native-gsslib to false
