The new machine is not quick to send a post to junk or trash. I see a message about downloading it before I see it move. Going over settings comparing both, old machine was set to a Pop mail server. The remote helper changed that oh New one to IMAP Mail server. I'm assuming that is the problem but I can't find how to change the new setting from IMAP to POP. There is a red Delete button on the A/C settings page. Should I try that?

Also since I couldn’t use the profile from corrupted old machine I've manually input everything in the new. I have used the Draft files in the old machine as a sort of reminder for me and want to copy it and bring it Into the new machine. Is there a way to do that?

I hope this is concise enough.

1. You would have to delete the IMAP account and create a new POP account, but there's no guarantee that would fix the sluggishness. Does that also happen in Troubleshoot mode?

2. On the old machine, copy all the drafts to the Inbox, then when they appear on the new machine, copy them back to Drafts.

Thank you Ed. There is no question in my mind that changing IMAP to POP will solve the problem. I just didn't know if that "Delete" would remove anything more than that server setting.

The system tells me, when I click on "empty trash/junk" that it's opening server and downloading from it. Mail has been bouncing back and forth from new machine to server to old machine and back again. I've had 3-4 copies of the same email in different mailboxes on both machines. I didn't know that remote Geek had changed the setting from the POP I'd entered originally. I believe that was the problem when I first tried to enter the profile and messages went everywhere.

Love your idea about mailing my drafts to myself - After I've fixed the server problem or that will ping-pong all over as well.

Thanks so much for your input.
