Where does Thunderbird keep information about open tabs? Is it possible to recover this file after upgrading to version 102? All my cards are gone. I will do a system restore, but knowing what a bummer 102 is, this data will not be restored.

Your mixed terminology of tabs and cards is confusing.

Cards generally equate to address book contacts. Is this what you mean?

Sorry, tabs. In the Thunderbird pl locale, they are called "karta" which means "card".

tabs are saved in session.json, only on a successful shutdown.

And if you started up, didn't see your tabs, and then shut down thunderbird, then that file has been overwritten. Which is why in your other posting I suggested that you can't get them back. Unless ... by some luck you have that file backed up, or there is a session.json.backup.
