When I asked you how to block unwanted pop-ups, I got this message: "If you see the address bar with the Tracking Protection button and the Site Identity button (a shield and a padlock) in the pop-up window, the pop-up is coming from Firefox." 

          That doesn't help at all.  Firefox is the most annoying of all, as it's the most incessant.  I've tried several times to block update notifica-

tions; If I get any response at all, I get only irrelevant, UN-helpful,responses. Each time I try to find the answer, the con- versation/thread is either locked, or mislabeled as "solved". 

           I REALLY don't want to have to give up on firefox completely, so can you PLEASE provide a shortcut or tell me how to solve this problem myself?
