Firefox Master password won't work?!

Right after creating my master password firefox restarted and popped up the question, to type in my password, and i do so, since i wrote down my password in my diary! But the master password wont work, it keeps popping up after putting in the password..

Are you using accented characters (character outside the 0x21-0x7f range) in the master password?

Can you login to the Software Security Device via the Device manager ?

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Certificates -> Security Devices... -> Software Security Device -> Login

I'm constantly having this issue. I am 100% sure I am entering my my master password correctly, but the prompt to enter my master password will popup over and over and over and over and over again. I don't understand what's happening. It's supposed to be a helpful tool, but it's starting to cause some frustration.

I am having the same problem. Master Password works when signing in to the website and also on my phone but is not being recognized on my browser.
