It is my experience that slow transfers within the browser is more related to what is going on with the Operating System rather than the browser. Have you rebooted lately? Are you experiencing this same issue in any other browser e.g. Chrome or Internet Explorer? Do you have any Network Management software installed? e.g. Killer Network Manager If so, look within that software for prioritizing features.
