I'd like to embed a button image in an email that would trigger an email to a specific email address. Is that possible?

Embedding the image is easy. But how do I add a link to it for generating an email?

Ñemoĩporã poravopyre

A link to generate an email is a bit different from a regular link because it starts with mailto instead of http or https:

mailto:person@example.com

That fills in to the To field. If you need to add more parameters you can search out the full mailto syntax. But for example:

mailto:person@example.com?subject=Hello

Does Thunderbird let you create that kind of link?
