For a long time now, my thunderbird has been saving multiple drafts in my folder and they do not delete when I send the message. I have researched many months to see if anyone else has been given a solid answer on this and they have not. They've been told a way to loop around it but not a solution. As I see it, Thunderbird needs to be addressing this issue in an update to resolve the problem. If there is an actual solution out there, please respond. Thank you

Are you using Thunderbird 38.4? If not please update.

I recall similar errors in the past, but was under the impression that the bug was fixed.
