For example if i enter Anderson it will take me to the email from Anderson in my inbox. Here in Thunderbird if i enter A itself its storing the email in archived list. Keypresses are reserved in Thunderbird for actions such a A for Archive, j for Mark As Junk, and so on. You need to break the habit of typing to search.
