On certain News Feed accounts example like Lifehacker, I get redirected to <https://platform.twitter.com/jot.html> on my default web browser with the tap named "Twitter Widget Log Helper". How can i stop this type of behaviour when I just want to check my emails or news feeds? Thanks for the help, anyone.

Install the Adblock Plus add-on for Thunderbird. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/adblock-plus/

Note, there's a popup with installation instructions when clicking the 'Download' button.
