Migrate OpenWapp to a new device?
Is it possible to move OpenWapp with all contacts and messages from my Keon to my Flame?
As I found out by looking at its source code, OpenWapp seems to be using IndexedDB for storage of conversations.

Using backup_restore_profile.sh, I finally found a way, and I wrote a little HOWTO.
Migration from the Keon (1.3) to a Flame (2.0) seems to work. I write "seems" because I can see the migrated messages fine, but I cannot connect to WhatsApp at the moment: OpenWapp's registration process is broken since a few days. Possibly WhatsApp changed their API.
Note that simply restoring the Keon's settings on the Flame didn't work, and in fact crashed the device (reboot required).

It might be possible to restore your old profile into the new device using the backup-restore script that was mentioned in the other thread about backing up OpenWapp:
However, please keep in mind that backing up and restoring profiles across versions and devices can cause unexpected behavior and/or crash the device.
If you still haven't received a response from OpenWapp's support, you may also try one of Mozilla's mailing lists, or StackOverflow, which are more geared towards developers:
