Unable to copy paste from a popup that is part of a specific software. I can do this in IE, but not in Firefox

We use BMC Remedy (ITSM) to track our work and it has a popup for the expiry date for each ticket. When I click on the link, a box pops up with the information, everything except the expiry date can be highlighted, but it is the expiry date that I need to copy. I can copy this info when in IE, but not in Firefox. We are not allowed to install anything on our computers directly from the internet.
