I updated to Firefox 25.0 today and afterwards, everything ran slowly; resetting Firefox didn't help.
Even getting to Mozilla support, trying to see the "getting started" video, checking email, was slow. Music on Pandora would just stop, etc. I also tried clearing history, all to no avail. Help!

That might have worked! Can't be too sure, but emails seem to load okay now.

hello, normally such issues are caused by a firewall/security software which doesn't recognize & therefore blocks new firefox versions: Fix problems connecting to websites after updating Firefox
I'm afraid I've tried everything with no luck: making sure my security software is up to date, going to McAfee Security on my computer and restoring default settings, going to Windows Security Center and clicking "restore defaults", uninstalling Firefox and re-installing it, going to a Restore date of yesterday on my computer, etc.
I'm not great at the computer, so I might have missed something. AND Internet Explorer doesn't seem to load emails any faster, so I'm befuddled... Just getting to this site took minutes.
Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

Well, my optimism was misplaced. The problem is still there. Any other possible solutions?
