Ea day I must reconnect my gateway & LAN even tho they are connected. Why?
Since updating to 10.0.2 I must reconnect my router & modem even tho they are already connected. If I try to get on line it tells me it can't find server. I have put up with this for several days & am tired of restarting each & every day....what gives & how do I correct?

Hi,
I'm not sure I understand the problem. Is the connection dropping at random? Is it only happening in the morning when you open the lid? Did you update anything else at the time (particularly a Windows update)?
Ian.

Since having this problem I check my Gateway & LAN & they report they are connected. Then I first try email & cannot get it, then I try firefox & and cannot get online it tells me it can not locate the server. I then restart my modem & router and no problem getting on line or with email. This is an everyday ordeal.
Thanks for the effort....I will just live with it until an update comes along that fixes it.
Hi,
I'm curious when the connection goes down though. What do you do just before it dies?
It's usually something silly happening with the network that causes this- if the connection is automatically resetting once a day that may cause this sort of behaviour. Have you recently changed the router or modem?

Another possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

You can try to reset (power off/on) the router if you haven't done this.
