every time I launch a site where Flash player is required I get the "update FlashPlayer" message. I have done so. restart. same thing. Chrome and IE work fine. also, before this happened, I was getting stalled videos on FF. the message is new today. all last week the videos were stagnating during playback. wouldn't roll.

Hi,

You can check the status of the installed flash player here https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

Please also try deleting the problematic site entries in OS Control Panel > Flash Player > Storage > Local Storage Settings by Site... if listed.
