website opens new tab when I click on a page

Hello, When I am on a website (not all), I will click on something and at times just on the border and another web site opens up in a different tab. The site is usually about sex or fear mongering. How to stop this from happening. Run FF 58.0.2. I have adware and popup blockers on. Using Avast. Windows 7. Thank You, T

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a good ad / pop-up blocker.
