Today I updated to the latest firefox version on Ubuntu Mate. 57.0+build4-0ubuntu0.16.04.5

This supposed to be "most reliable" firefox version keeps freezing every 2 to 3 minutes (window becomes all dark grey) then it comes back after 20 or 30 seconds. The only other question marked "solved" tells the OP to roll back to an older version. This in my opinion is not a solution.

Whan can I do to collect a log of Firefox and post it here? In order to help you guys figure out the problem?

hi mehditlili, could you capture and share a performance profile while the problem is occurring like it's described at https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Performance/Reporting_a_Performance_Problem (you can leave out steps 1-3 about installing the latest nightly).

maybe this can give us some clues what is going wrong. thank you!
