Make "GoogleYear" the default search engine?

The above link describes how to make Chrome search Google by default for ONLY THE LAST YEAR. In today's age, older information is usually irrelevant.

This link does the trick: https://www.google.com/search?tbs=qdr:y&q=%s, but I'm hoping to simply make it do this by default (from the Awesome Bar).

I don't remember what prompted me to create this 13 months ago, but I have a page that will generate Google search plugins with your choice of date ranges. The names are ugly, but...

If you want Google to be your default search engine, you can do that as follows  : 3-bar menu => Options => Search Under   'Default Search Engine'   you can set Google to be your default search engine.
