Uregent Firewfox download contained "peemoteenfidelity.net.exe, Webroot said it was a threat. Did not istall. What is this?
Was reading an article from msn.com
An urgent Firefox download screen popped up and downloaded the .exe file "peemoteenfidelity.exe Webroot immediately popped up a threat detected box. Checked Webroot report. and it appears it was not installed as I did not click the file that was downloaded. I deleted the download from the the download arrow that is in the top bar. Neither Google or Bing did not show any information about the file. Any ideas? And should I be worried about compromised security?

This domain was established a day ago so more than likely it's being used for malicious purposes. And the e-mail address registered is used in 10 other domains.
You should only be worried about being compromised if you ran the .exe. If you did, who knows what'll happen but fortunately since you didn't and Webroot removed it immediately, you should be safe. Might want to do a virus scan to be safe.

Yeah this is one of several websites doing this same fake Firefox patch .exe in last few weeks that was registered by the same person.
Report fake Firefox updates sites like this as "distributing modified Firefox/malware" at https://www.mozilla.org/legal/fraud-report/ (url is at bottom of many mozilla.org sites) and Google may block if reported enough at https://www.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/ which can be accessed by Help > Report Web Forgery in Firefox.
Also could be reported as spam abuse at say http://publicdomainregistry.com/report-abuse-2/ since they have been the Registrar of these fake Firefox updates scam sites.
