I just installed Thunderbird on an up to date Windows 11 PC and unchecked the box Automatically mark messages as read, but it keeps marking all of my messages as read.

Help please!

To Whom it concerns, It has been about 4-5 days since I can't receive my e-mail. I have e-mail you different times with errors coming up. When I open my mail since yesterday an error now says error with acct. cray9@oh.rr.com. Another error occurred with the POP3mail server. The mailbox closes. Then a box comes up Thunder Bird crash reporter then I can put why and then restart my e-mail. It does try to load my e-mail then stops. And now my password box doesn't come up to put my password in. Last it says connection to mail.twc.com was reset then once again the mailbox closes. Please help, I have been a customer with Thunder Bird for years. Thank you!!

I've been using Thunderbird for years but suddenly as of yesterday it's stopped receiving messages. First it told me my password was incorrect. Ever since then when I try to click "Get Messages," it simply has no response at all. Nothing happens. I went into my Thunderbird password settings, and upon seeing that the incoming-message password had for some reason reverted to an old, obsolete password, I corrected it and saved the correct one. I've checked several times and the passwords are correctly saved now. But this did not fix the problem. When I click "Get Messages," nothing happens. My Thunderbird is connected to my Earthlink account, which is working fine. When I go into Earthlink, I am able to send and receive messages as normal. So the problem is not with Earthlink but with Thunderbird.

I am getting a lot of email dated a month of more in the future. How do I best filter these out as junk? I tried making a regular filter, but can't find a way to set it to "greater than today."

Even though I have Thunderbird configured to leave messages on the server after downloading it still deletes them from the server. Is this a bug in v146? New user.

thunderbird keeps stating the following: Sending of the message failed. There was an error attaching My 2nd photo spraying P1080183.JPG. Plese check that you have access to the file.

I get this on the 3 pictures I took myself. What is wrong with your system now? Is this an AI problem? Why am I getting questioned on my pictures now??? Very irritating since no one can answer this simple question.

Pictures are of my area / since I can't find any version number for Thunderbird / but it is updated always it is the most current when AI is present

I have a Yahoo.ca email address and have been using Thunderbird to retrieve my email for years. For some reason, a window now pops up to Rogers.com and they want me to log in there. This is not a Rogers email address and it is separate from Rogers. I had this issue before and this forum managed to get me back. My settings are correct. I have deleted the profile 5 times and added it back after a computer restart and still nothing.

Okay so I got the settings correct using the oauth2 setting, but inbox won't populate. I can send a test email from within Thunderbird but it's not receiving. I followed gemini advice and still have not been able to resolve this issue

thunderbird will not delete messages in one of my 2 accounts. when i click delete they just keep re-appearing in my in box. I have deleted the TRASH.msf but issue persists: WHY? I also cannot move messages to another folder, but again, only in one of the two accounts that I have. This just started on 6/17, perhas a bad update? How do I fix this as my in box is filling quickly

I have used Thunderbird for years but mid windows 10 I started having this problem I have all my user name & Password in a note pad for all places I go to.I'm on Winddows11 home.Also I can't sign in so I can;t Tell you what Version I have.

On Sunday, May 7, my Thunderbird program suddenly stopped responding (neither the shortcut nor the program itself will run); clicking on the shortcut icon or attempting to open or run the program itself causes the "loading" or spinning wheel icon to pop up, run for about 10 seconds, then stop.

I've used Thunderbird as an email client for my Sonic email account on my pc for over 8 years without any difficulties until now, and now seem to be locked out of my Thunderbird account. I cannot access it to confirm the version, although I believe it is current, since it appears to update automatically.

My Sonic account continues to function normally, but I keep (save) all incoming and outgoing emails in my Thunderbird system and now am unable to access any of those, and unable to access my Thunderbird account at all..

I've consulted with Sonic over this; Sonic maintains that any difficulty must be on my end connecting to Thunderbird, and suggested that I might have changed the account password. However, I have not changed the password, etc.

Please help asap.

Thunderbird is my default email program and if I receive an email containing an email link of the form Fred.Bloggs@example.com I can click the link and Thunderbird opens a new message to Fred Bloggs. Today I received an email with the following link: email:customerservices@zen.co.uk. When I clicked it a little dialogue popped up asking me which program I wanted to use to open the link. I browsed to Thunderbird and selected it, but when I clicked OK nothing happened. Why isn't Thunderbird automatically handling all email traffic? What settings do I have to make sure that links of this form will be handled properly in future? Why wouldn't the system be told to use Thunderbird?

I don't know what to do when February 29 is in my calendar, 2026 is not a leap year. I've found nothing to help me. I have the latest version if Thunderbird. Thanks

Dzień dobry Mam taki problem, W programie Thunderbird mam skonfigurowane dwa konta obydwa na ....o2.pl Na jednym koncie co jakiś czas w folderze "Odebrane" znikają wszystkie wiadomości i po jakimś czasie pobierają się o nowa wszystkie nagłówki (co oczywiście trochę trwa) ale problem jest w tym że znikają mi zaznaczone etykiety. To bardzo utrudnia mi pracę z tym programem. Na tym drugim komcie nic takiego nie występuje. Sprawdzałem w konfiguracji serwera oba IMAP wszystko tak samo także w synchronizacji i pozostałe ustawienia takie same. Może ktoś pomoże ja w tych tematach jestem mocno w tyle :) Za pomoc z góry dziękuję Marek

After running an update, when launching Thunderbird it says "Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of Thunderbird. Do you want to reboot now?". Rebooting does nothing, I'm prompted with the same message. Tried re-installing the latest version - it gives me the same error message before re-installying, and also un-installing the version I have on my PC - it also prompts me to restart to finish the earlier upgrade.

Hi, I have multiple email accounts. To access the passwords there is now a prompt asking for an email and password- some 'identity'.

How do I know/guess what that might be?

I Shift/Deleted an email in my UNREAD search folder, & all emails in the folder disappeared, as well as the same unread emails in my Inbox. This happened twice in the last few months, with two different accounts (personal and business), both times on the UNREAD search folder. The emails are still in the profile - i opened the profile in Notepad and searched for them. I've given up on trying to get them back into the Inbox (spent several hours with aid from AI), but would like to continue to use Shift/Delete withut this happening. Thanks. Geoff
