Strange Response To Strange Email Link
Hello,
Thunderbird is my default email program and if I receive an email containing an email link of the form Fred.Bloggs@example.com I can click the link and Thunderbird opens a new message to Fred Bloggs. Today I received an email with the following link: email:customerservices@zen.co.uk. When I clicked it a little dialogue popped up asking me which program I wanted to use to open the link. I browsed to Thunderbird and selected it, but when I clicked OK nothing happened. Why isn't Thunderbird automatically handling all email traffic? What settings do I have to make sure that links of this form will be handled properly in future? Why wouldn't the system be told to use Thunderbird?
Alan.

I believe it's because the link is invalid - the form "email:xxx@yyyy.zzz" is incorrect syntax. It should be "mailto:xxx@yyyy.zzz"
Lin,
Thanks, it's a relief to know we're just looking at somebody else's error. I've notified the chap who sent me the link so it shouldn't happen again,
Alan.
