Alright, let's try a few things here.

First, update to Firefox 11. Firefox 3.6 will be dropped from support in a few weeks, which means it will no longer be receiving security or stability updates. Firefox 11 is up to 7 times faster than 3.6, has lots of new features and improvements, as well as support for new web standards. http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/features/ and Updating Firefox have more information.

After that, go into Start, then Control Panel, then Add or Remove Programs. Look for Java on this list. There may be several entries, and they maybe labeled different versions (jave 6, java 1.5, etc.). Uninstall then all. Then, restart your computer.

Download Java from http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=62313, install it. Then, your flash is out of date as well, so download the updated version from http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_11_plugin_32bit.exe. After doing this, restart your Pc again, and let me know if you are still having problems.

Thanks but I only got one version of Java in there which is the current version being blocked. I'm going to be upgrading sooner or later and I doubt I'm going to update my Adobe Flash anytime soon with the amount of issues that it has going on with it right now.

Java got blocked randomly last night while on YouTube and I'm just wondering why. I don't use many things that require Java to be used (that I know of at least sites that I know if I turn Java Script off with still work.)

You will want to update your Adobe Flash as soon as possible, before java. Flash upgrades patch vulnerabilities used to exploit browsers & infect your computer. Not updating to the current version is inviting yourself & computer to spyware, exploits, etc..

1. Java and JavaScript are completely unrelated things. The JavaScript engine is built into your browser. It is not installed separately. Installing/uninstalling/doing-anything-w… Java will not affect the JavaScript engine in your browser one iota. Also, changing settings for JavaScript will have absolutely no effect on any Java runtimes you may have installed.

2. YouTube does not use Java. Period. It does, however, use JavaScript.

3. The YouTube player is a Flash application as you mentioned. However, Java and Flash are completely unrelated so messing with Java won't make any difference to Flash applications.

4. Since each browser has its own JavaScript engine, even if you messed up one browser, it should work in the others. Therefore if you haven't try to duplicate in another browser.

5. All the browsers on your computer will use the same Adobe Flash installation. I would consider reinstalling Flash to see if that resolves the issue.

You'll want to update your flash as thee are lots of security issues which have been fixed in the latest version, and just try uninstalling then reinstalling your java, see it that helps.

Javascript and Java are totally different and not related, and youtube so far as i know doesn't use Java, so I'm not sure why it gave you a message it was blocked.

That's what my question was. I was just sitting there and I got a pop up saying it was being blocked.

Look I'll update my flash when I feel like it. My ads are blocked and I only go to two sites that use it beyond YouTube. I know the risk of it not being fully updated but I'm not an idiot and just run around to each and every site. Besides each time my mother updates hers to the latest version she gets all sorts of problems each time. Hers crashes far more often now than it did before. (Could have been from the recent issue with it but still happens often.) So I stick with my version until I feel they have gotten past those issues and I upgrade.

As for Java whenever it pops up saying I have a update to be installed I install it. My only questions were why is this happening? Does anyone got any info as to why it's suddenly being blocked by Firefox?

I looked in my list of plugins and I got two different Java plug ins. They are the one mentioned above and this one:

I got that it is different. Those two plug ins that I posted are separate and in the plug-ins section.

I know YouTube doesn't use Java or I'd see the little Java icon in the corner each time I went there. I don't use any site that does that because I tend to avoid having it used at all. I just wanted to know why it was being blocked and if anyone has any info on it. If I have to use it I'll use it but beyond that it's blocked.

I know that they are unrelated. I know if I mess with one it wont affect the other.

My browser is running fine I'm not seeing any errors or issues besides the one that happened during the last update for 3.6 (it loads with a grey outline when I have two home pages but I'm use to it now).

It is only Java that got blocked. I'm on YouTube right now watching videos. It's not me that has the issues with Adobe since I'm on the older version it's my mother. She has that issue each time no matter what Chrome and Firefox. She has uninstalled it I believe twice before and nothing got fixed.

The Java Platform SE 6 you mentioned previously is a Firefox plugin compatiblluty issue. it's being blocked because its incompatible with your current FF version as you haven't updated, hence update to latest FF or Disable Java. Either or

Only one of the two is blocked and I planned on upgrading soon anyway so it's not really that much of an issue. Didn't know why it was being blocked I just seen it pop up while I was on YouTube wanting to restart FF because of that.

Read my updated reply, it's incompatible with your older FF version & it will stay blocked & not work until you update with latest FF version, same with IE

I did read the updated one. -_-' And I said it twice before and I'll say it again. I will be upgrading soon anyway. I don't use IE (which is IE 7) much the last time I did was to check something out beyond that it's just a back up browser in case of any issues with Chrome or Opera. If it gets to bad I'll go borrow one of my parents' computers.

Look it's real simple either you upgrade to latest FF version or you don't use Java. Simple as that, it doesn't work with your version. That's your two choices & IE isn't relevant. The latest java is only compatible with & will ONLY work with the latest Firefox version. It won't work on your older version period, as I've says 3 times now. I don't know how else to get it through. Good luck

Omg, I got that the FIRST time it was said. Stop treating me like I'm a idiot and can't understand it. I asked why it was doing this and you gave me an answer. I said 3 times I WILL BE UPGRADING SOON so it's not all that big of an issue. The latest upgrade I got was months ago. It was working perfectly fine then until just last night. Seriously I am not some idiot that doesn't get anything that's said. Stop treating me like I can't understand anything.
