"merge passwords"
I have my old log-ons for my prior Fx v.3.0.11 stored safely on a jump drive. I'd like to find an easy way to get them into THIS version. Any ideas?

Best would be to create a new, separate profile and copy the files ke3.db and signons3.txt to that new Firefox Profile Folder.

Use the Password Exporter extension to make a backup of the passwords and use that same extension to import that backup in your current Firefox profile.

Thanks for the quick response, and for pointing me to the addon.
Okay, I have key3.db for my old profile, but there is no signon3.db in Ver.1.8.1.20...only signons2.db.
Will that work? or do you think it just might be easier/faster to go to the sites & re-enter the data from scratch (personally, based on all I have read about creating new profiles, I almost believe it will be.) What do you think?
All signons#.txt (2,3) files will work as long as there are no signons files with a higher number present. You also need to (re)move an existing file signons.sqlite to make Firefox 3.6.x convert a signons#.txt file to the current signons.sqlite database file.
Thanks so much for your help! I will try this, with my fingers crossed!
