Was that by any chance Fire TV from Amazon? There are no Firefox releases for some time for any Fire device or Amazon store per se.

You might look into "sideloading" arbitrary app bundles, which is a possibility, but you'd want to ask around in some Fire TV circles, with details of your specific device, if anyone familiar with it would know.
