Firefox won't sync after "refresh"

I recently refreshed Firefox. When I re-opened the program, I was logged out. I successfully logged back in, but despite saying I'm "synced", none of my settings (themes, passwords, bookmarks, etc.) are showing up, even after waiting 30 minutes. Typically sync has taken a few seconds for me. FYI, this is on my work computer and I don't have administrator access, so I would prefer a solution (if possible) that does not require an uninstallation or installation (which I cannot do without contacting an administrator). Update - I had an administrator uninstall and re-install the application. Unfortunately, now when I try to log into sync, I now get the error "General application error. Something went wrong. Please try again later." I have tried multiple times with the same error. So now I can't even log into my account, let alone sync. I have also tried restarting the computer with no luck.

Can someone please help?
