Basically, any time I load an embedded video file, it will play fine until about the last second. When the video is about to hit the end of its playback, the audio will cut out before it reached the end of the seeker bar and 2-3 video frames will play after the sound ends. Not sure if it's something to do with being on Linux.

Make sure you have proprietary codecs installed, for example on Ubuntu:

sudo apt install ffmpeg

If you are using the flatpak package:

flatpak install org.freedesktop.Platform.ffmpeg-full//23.08

I already have ffmpeg installed and it's up-to-date. I should also mention that I am running an Arch-based distro (EndeavourOS).

Does it still happen in a new profile? An easy way to test a new profile is to install Developer Edition and see if it happens there or refresh your existing profile. Make sure you stay signed out of your sync account when testing.

I see the same with the video you posted and also if I play the video locally with VLC, so this is likely how this video has been recorded.

Can you play this video correctly with another browser or media player?

Here's the sample video, as is. Sample video played correctly through Brave, a Chromium-based browser.
