Hi Pedro, where do you normally drag the file from? Is it the Downloads list (Command+J)?
This is the third report I've seen for Mac today so whatever is causing it seems to be affecting a lot of users...
Hi Jscher2000,
Yes, it is from the Download list (Command+J) but for some reason unknown to me, it stopped working.
Hi Pedro, thank you for clarifying that.
There are numerous reports from other Mac OS users of this same issue with Firefox 111.0, starting last Thursday. I don't know whether it affects everyone on Mac OS, or whether it might be a Firefox or system settings issue. If I hear of any suggestions from the developers or requests for information, I will pass them along in a later reply.
Until this is sorted out, you could consider using the magnifying glass icon on the right side of the download on the list. That button should launch a new Finder window with the download highlighted so you can access the file wherever it was saved at the time of download (either to work with it or move it somewhere else).
Hi Jscher2000, Yes, that’s what I'm doing since the issue begun. Thank you for your help.
If you drag a file then there might always be sandbox restrictions that do not allow all targets. I don't know whether anything got changed in 111 on Mac.

I never had this problem until a few days ago.
Did you update to Firefox 111 around that time ?
This is a new issue in Firefox 111.0. The developers are investigating. It seems to be caused by some changes related to the data formats allowed to be passed on the clipboard. (There is a connection between copy/paste and drag/drop.)

I think the update came out a little while ago, but it could very well have been the cause. I can't say exactly because I have automatic updates for Firefox.
