Lost Favorite Bookmarks from the Toolbar
Hi Firefox Community support,
I am not sure what happened but I updated my firefox browser tonight and all my favorite bookmark toolbar disappeared. Is there any easier way to bring them back to show in the browser page's top as before. They are sitting in the folders but now showing up anymore. Tried dragging them but them won't budge. Closed out browser, restarted macbook - nothing worked. It's already wasted so much time in researching and troubleshooting without a fully applicable instruction anywhere for a mac user trying to resolve this issue.
Also, tried to upload image in word or pdf, but it doesn't work with the format here perhaps. Not sure what else can I easily and quickly try.

Is the bookmarks toolbar visible? You can make it visible by using the Customize page. Right-click on the 3 bar menu and select Customize Toolbar. If Bookmark Toolbar Items is there, you can drag it to the Bookmarks Toolbar.

Thanks for that. I had already tried that link but it didn't work. The real problem is that apparently, there is no option to move my favorite bookmarks (of favorite websites and folders) from the sidebar (side tray) to the browser's main view on top (generally, shows right under the toolbar).
All of this worked for me for years without aproblem. I had an update to the firefox browser last night and that apparently changed everything because I lost the easy access to the favorite bookmarks from the main view, and these got moved to a hide-out in the sidebar.
To show this effect, I have uploaded a screenshot of the browser, showing the sidebar with favorite bookmarks, and pointed with black dotted arrow horizontally (under the address bar line) is the area where the favorite bookmarks normally appear, but they are now in the sidebar and cannot be moved to the main view of the browser. See the attached in .jpeg
Any way to move these favorite bookmarks from the sidebar to the main toolbar/ bookmark area would be really helpful and I much appreciate any guidance.

The bookmarks sidebar show the bookmark in all three root folders (Bookmarks Toolbar, Bookmarks Menu, Other Bookmarks). You need to move bookmarks that you want to appear on the Bookmarks Toolbar to the Bookmarks Toolbar folder.
Thanks but that is a continuing issue. I already have several bookmarks inside the Bookmark Toolbar folder. I have also tried the options of "right-clicking mouse on the blank space under the toolbar menu -> "Bookmarks Toolbar" -> "Always Show"
It has not worked. I have tried this several times by logging out and in to the browser, rebooting the macbook, waiting two days, nothing to avail.
Is there any possible reason that may be secretly stopping the bookmarks to show on the bookmarks tool rather than in the Sidetray that I should think about?

Make sure toolbars like the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible. Open the Customize page and set what toolbars (Show/Hide Toolbars) and toolbar items to display.
- Right-click empty toolbar area -> Customize
- "3-bar" menu button -> Customize
- View -> Toolbars
*you can tap the Alt key or press the F10 key to show the hidden Menu Bar temporarily
- check that "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
- if "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the Customize palette to the Customize page to the Bookmarks Toolbar
- if missing items are in the Customize palette then drag them back from the Customize page to the toolbar
- if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the Customize palette then click Restore Defaults in the Customize palette window to restore the default toolbar set.
On the Customize page, is there an item Bookmarks toolbar items? If so, drag it to the Bookmarks toolbar.
I have the same problem. My Toolbar sows in with the main Bookmark items but it want the favorite Toolbar items to also show at the top of the window under menu items. How?
