I am running latest version of Firefox 82.0 (64-bit) but most of the systems are reporting my browser version to be Firefox 56. My privacy.resistFingerprinting is set to" FALSE". Any other way to get the correct version of FF?

Do you possibly have two Firefox versions installed, a 64-bit version of the current release and a 32-bit Firefox 56 version that sometimes is started ?

  • (64-bit Firefox) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
  • (32-bit Firefox) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"

The issue was with the user agent reporting rev56 "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:56) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/56.0" changed the rev to 82 and the issue was resolved.
