I searched for how to permanently show the menu bar. The only solutions I could find involved custom css in a chrome folder.

Then I accidentally found an (afaik) undocumented feature: right click on an empty part of the title bar, check 'Menu bar'.

Been like that since Firefox 4.0 in March 2011 when the Menu Bar was first hidden by default, and the stupid orange Firefox button had many, but not all the menu items from the Menu Bar. Then the Menu Bar remained hidden by default in Fx 29 Australis, although so many users used the Classic Theme Restorer they may not have even realized that the Menu Bar was hidden by default; iirc, CTR had it showing or the user had it showing all the time thru a pref in CTR.

Now, as far as a real "undocumented feature" - the "hidden" Menu Bar can be temporarily revealed by hitting the Alt key. From there 'letter' keys can be used to (the corresponding underlined letter) open the drop-down menus and then again used to select almost all the menu items.

Works just like it did in IE when the user hid the menu bar in IE; and I have seen similar in other Windows applications. Just a matter of learning about the features that are used in each application that you install.

And don't think that I am a software professional whiz where this crap come easy to me; 68 yo retired automotive service technician / shop owner. But I have been using PC's since the IBM-XT was new (1984).
