why is "in private" browsing remembering 'form data'

in private browsing keeps remembering form data I have entered. I have to restart my computer to get it to clear. After about a day or so it starts remembering again!

I don't use the forms history feature myself, so I may have to experiment a bit to figure out the interactions. As an initial question:

Are you using a mix of regular and private windows, or automatic private browsing with no regular windows?

  • When you have a mix of windows, the private windows have a mask icon on the title bar near the minimize/resize/close buttons.
  • Automatic private browsing is set up on the Options page, Privacy panel, by checking the box for "Always use private browsing mode" and there are only private windows, with no mask.

Sometimes I will open a new regular window while in 'private' browsing. I can't use the only private browsing because some of the pages I look at, don't work when the pvt browsing is on. As I said it will work Ok for a day or two before it happens. Also, just started having this problem in the last 2 or 3 months. Never had the problem before.
