My history is not working
I recently cleared my history and now its not working - ie nothing is recording - what have I done?

Hi, make sure you haven't accidentally changed any settings: Settings for privacy, browsing history and do-not-track.
Also make sure you aren't in Private Browsing: Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history.

Thanks for your message but I still can't figure out the problem. When I click on show all history the page is blank.
I have been into the settings and it definitely is set to 'remember all history'. I wouldn't know how to request private browsing so don't think I did that.
I do have the 'do not track' button on in the privacy section [but I don't recall changing that - should I turn that off?

How did you clear the history?
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.

If the Places Maintenance extension can't repair the places.sqlite database then remove all places.sqlite file(s) in the Firefox profile folder to make Firefox rebuild the places.sqlite database from the most recent JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
- keep a backup copy of places.sqlite in case a new places.sqlite database has to be created
