Can I operate Firefox Developer Edition alongside a regular Firefox installation on my Windows 8.1 machine?
Let me explain
I already use Firefox 34.0.5 on my HP workstation running Windows 8.1 Professional (x64) and with Firefox I use Roboform as my password manager.
I would like to know if I install Firefox Developer Edition if this Firefox DE will replace my current Firefox 34.0.5 installation or that I can install the Developer Edition alongside my current Firefox installation.
Kind regards Anthony

Short answer YES.
It has always been possible to run multiple versions of Firefox using different profiles, but that is not something this forum and its related Knowledge Base explicitly supported; it has been considered an advanced procedure.
What is now the developer edition was previously known Aurora, & it still uses that name for its update channel. It now however automatically installs alongside Firefox release and creates its own profile. So it is now automatically completing steps that previously were good practice or essential, but had to be done manually.
