when I am editing a text, moving cursor using arrows cursor stops one character before the end and then about one second later moves one more character. It happens not only in "textarea" but also in the address field.

FF reacts slowly when I press arrow (left or right), cursor moves about 1 character every 200-300ms but when I stop pressing arrow button cursor stops and then one second later moves one character more. Also when I try to mark a block of text It behaves different then usual. It marks and then when I mouse click on a different part of unmarked text marking doesnt dissapear. It still exists in the old place.

When I put curstor in some place. And then I mouse click in a different posiotion of the text then cursor moves in this place after I think one or two seconds after.

When I press "tab" button to move cursor to the next field it stops suddenly usually one field before the place I want it to stops and then 1-3 second later it moves one field forward.

When I press "ctrl-a" to mark the whole text I have to wait 1-3 seconds. I have to wait also for hyperlinks to become a hyperlink.Hyperlink ooks like hyperlink but when I move mouse over I have to wait 1-3 second before I clik because It looks like a link but it doesnt work

I removed all addons/plugins. Then I uninstalled and install once again a whole FF. I removed all personal settings. (addblock I installed after)

It happens only in FF. I think this happend after I upgraded AVG free antivirus to 2015 version. Then I rolled back this upgrade but FF behaves this way. I even disabled the whole AVG. On the second computer I have the same system, the same AVG, the same almost everything but it work fine.

FF ver 33

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.
