My Download arrow is missing from the toolbar, how do I get it back?
In a recent version of firefox the "search tabs" button was added, I do not want it and would like to know how to remove it.
Thanks in advance.
Since last update the "List all tabs" button appeared in the top left corner and I can't remove it !

After an update, Firefox messed up my toolbar configuration. After resetting everything back to normal, just one thing doesn't want to stay where it's placed: the "new tab" button a.k.a. the "plus sign". I want the button to be to the right of my open tabs (screenshot no. 2) but after closing and opening Firefox again, the button simply jumps back to the left (screenshot no. 1). So I go to (Right Click) > "Customize Toolbar..." > (Drag the button to the right) and it works, only until I restart Firefox again. Is there anything I can do to make my changes stable?
(One more thing: there is this "List All Tabs" button, which can't be removed, how could I remove it?)

In the last few days, Firefox has stopped remembering tabs that were open when re-opening following Windows re-boot or other closure. This is frustrating. Other browsers (Chrome and Edge) both remember all tabs/windows that were previously opened.
Why has this suddenly started happening and how can it be resolved? I have gone through the advice given 2 years ago on one similar question, and all the configurations are in order.

I keep a large number of tabs open but occasionally go through them and close the ones I'm no longer interested in (with the X next to the entry in the tab bar). However when I then close firefox and restart firefox they are all back in the tab bar. This is relatively new behavior, perhaps a few weeks.
How can I fix this.

I have online accounts with both drawboard.com and offerup.com. Neither of these websites will finish logging out when I click log out on Firefox. I assume it's a Firefox issue as I do not have the same problem with Safari or Chrome when I've tried. I really don't want to stay logged in to those websites when I'm not using them. On Drawboard, the logout page just gets stuck there and won't change even if I refresh. On Offerup, it doesn't do anything at all.
Been trying to log out of offerup for weeks even with their help desk. Please help, thanks.

I'm taking nightly incremental backups of /home for example to my home storage server and, I guess, due to the databases Firefox uses for various storage, those can't be backed up by just copying them, if Firefox is running and has the database open.
What are the best practices, then, for ensuring all profile data, including these databases, is in a state where it can be backed up, while Firefox is running, in a way it can be restored to a fully functioning profile?
For example, with MySQL databases, you can dump the log before running the backup each night, which basically exports the SQL statements needed so you can skip backing up the actual binary database file (like ibdata1). Does SQLite need something similar? and is this the only special consideration that is needed, or are there other specialized types of data within our profile directories that can't be backed up by simply copying the data while Firefox is running?
Thanks

Today I was notified Firefox version 131.0 had been installed. Now, when using the Charles Schwab website, I can't access my bank account, which is a separate entity, and requires me to use Schwab's access method. I've used this method/tool for a decade or more without incident until FF 131.0 showed up. Here's the error: "You might have cookies blocked or cross-site tracking prevented. Depending on what browser you're using, check your settings for these terms: • Block third party cookies • Cookie tracking • Cross-site tracking Make sure cookies are not blocked and cross-site tracking is enabled. I've disabled "Enhanced Tracking Protection", cleared the browser of cookies and site data. I disabled Privacy Badger and Ghostery. None of which helps.
This procedure works using Firefox on an ios tablet. Also, it works with Microsoft Edge.
Thanks for any help. -Deke

Hey there! System: Windows 10 x64, Firefox Nightly.
Problem: Out of the blue, when I start Firefox Nightly (I think 2-3 days ago), it just crashed with no extra info. I see the "window of the update process", it goes to the middle or to the end, immediately closes and doesn't bring up the Crash reporter. However! When I tried to run a Nightly Installer that I downloaded through Chrome, it quietly runs and then just opens up my browser no problem, profile and all. I checked and it seems to be the exact same .exe file (according to the Task Manager).
So in short: it breaks if I run it straight from my usual shortcut, or with .exe. But if I run the installer myself, the browser opens up fine.
However, the installer didn't bring any new updates that would fix the problem, I have this for 2-3 days now, I don't remember. I start working, I see I didn't fix it and run the installer again.
Any ideas on the fix? I would love to not lose my profile, settings and, if possible, tabs. I'll try disabling all the extensions after I post this, I don't think they contribute, though (seeing how the external Firefox Nightly Installer opens up my browser just fine).
Thanks in advance!

As the subject says Firefox very suddenly started giving me terrible loading times, despite all the sites working perfectly fine on other devices and browsers. Issue continued with troubleshooting mode, not sure where to go from here. I will open youtube, it won't load about 5 thumbnails, I click on a video and it sets it to 140p and then it still lags the entire video as if I was using 1kbps internet. I tested my wifi connection and its having no problems. Something similar happened when I used to use Opera GX, it was fine for a long time and then one day terrible performance. Please let me know where to go from here. Windows 11 Pro.

I've been struggling for months/years with tabs crashing. I just figured it was my particular combination of installed extensions and the websites I frequented because certain sites tended to crash tabs pretty often (e.g., HomeDepot.com), while others didn't (e.g., Lowes.com). However, I'm working more hours per day on my PC and have had the app crash multiple times in one day so I figure it's time to try fixing it. So... I made sure that Windows, FF, and my device drivers are up to date. I ran two separate malware/virus scans. The only third-party modules loading are from Intel (it's an Intel CPU and graphics adapter). I ran FF in Troubleshooting Mode, and the tab crashes continued, as well as an app crash. I have four crash report IDs from that event; I am sure it's these four because the Extensions tabs report "No extensions were installed." Three are out-of-memory, one is EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ.
I ran MemTest86 and it didn't find any memory hardware issues.
Since Troubleshooting Mode didn't reveal a misbehaving extension, do I still need to "Refresh Firefox"? Does anyone have suggestions for a next step? Thanks.
