I can't get a site to print a full page. right side gets cut.

The page is too large in the width. I tried "fit to page" but nothing helps.

Some pages are not designed with printing in mind...

You could switch from portrait to landscape so you fit the page to a wider width.

Some users find it faster to copy and paste just the relevant part into a word processing program, but often some of the styling is lost in the process.

Or you could consider modifying the page before printing, for example, using an add-on to remove sidebars or other elements you don't need in your printout (assuming you don't need a faithful replica but only want the content).

Hi Jkop, I'm using the English version of Firefox, where one of the print scaling options is "Shrink to Fit". Is it called "Fit to page" on your system? This option is available either:

  • Print Preview screen, on the toolbar (in the Scale drop-down)
  • Page Setup dialog (checkbox on the Format & Options tab)

The "Shrink to Fit" feature usually works, but on rare occasions the site may have a tricky set of styles or some other factor may interfere. Could you give the address of the page that doesn't shrink to fit as it should?

In order to get a full page I have to shrink it down to 60% and then the print-out is too small.

Specifically, which web page?
