Even after telling me I have sucessfully changed my password, SYNC keeps telling me I have the wrong password

I created a sync account and then tried to add my android device. Kept telling me my username/password were incorrect. I changed the password 3 times and sync would still not recognize my password as valid. I couldn't even log onto this forum with my username and password, I had to re-register with a new one. If the email I have on file is correct (which it is because they sent me the reset key twice) and Firefox tells me I have successfully changed my password, then why won't it recognize my username and password?
