I stopped using Thunderbird about 6 months ago because I couldn't get it to work with my new cable provider, Time Warner Cable (Spectrum). I now using TWC's webmail client.

I want to start using thunderbird again. I need to know what steps to take to tell Thunderbird to start using a new email address at my new email service provider.

Thanks.

That would depend on how your old mail was set up. IF it was POP you just add the new provider. If it was IMAP and you want to keep mail you have a much harder task this far out from the change over. IT usually becomes a recovery, rather than a simple change.

In you use Norton as your anti virus, it is probably a good idea to completely disable it while you add a new account. It plays hell with the new account wizards ability to get settings and verify them

Otherwise Thunderbird has settings for TWC/Roadrunner that should work. https://autoconfig.thunderbird.net/v1.1/rr.com
