Prior to the most recent Firefox update (Ubuntu Linux) the tree style tab add-on was working fine. Now, when I click the star icon the second time to edit the location or category of the bookmark, the information box doesn't show to edit. If I disable the add-on, the feature starts to work again. I tested the problem in both my Ubuntu 12.04 and 14.04 machines. Please, inform if there is a solution to this problem. Thanks.

The developer has fixed this issue in the Tree Style Tab extension on the developer's work-in-progress site, but a new version has not yet been uploaded to the Mozilla Add-ons site. I don't know when that might happen.

In the discussion about this problem, someone posted a link to an unofficial fixed version. If you can't wait, you could consider using it... install at your own risk:

Meanwhile, as a workaround, can you still use the Library dialog to move bookmarks around? Either:

  • "Show All Bookmarks"
  • Ctrl+Shift+O (Windows: Ctrl+Shift+B)

Thanks for answering. I just hope that the official solution is posted in the Mozilla add-on site soon. In the mean time I will have the add-on disabled. wp
