If your Windows volume mixer has a slider for each open Firefox tab, this is a known issue related to multiprocess (E10s) and we are working on fixing it in the near future. In the meantime, setting the number of Firefox processes to "1" should fix the issue:

Setting the number of processes to 1 effectively turns off the multiprocess feature, which may significantly affect Firefox's performance.
  1. Click on the menu button fx57menu to open the menu panel.
  2. Click the menu button New Fx Menu Fx57Menu and choose Options.Preferences.
  3. In the General panel, scroll down to Performance.
  4. Remove the check mark next to Use recommended performance settings.
  5. Choose 1 in the drop-down menu for Content process limit.
