I want to send bulk mails as bcc to all the recepients. On adding the mail ids from the address book all are being added as `To` and so I am forced to change them to bcc one by one. How can that be done automatically instead?

Recent change making it hard to drag/drop messages to folders, looking for the setting to fix this. Picture makes it obvious, when dragging several messages, the object shown while dragging is too big, can't see which folder mouse pointer is over. What setting changes the object shown when dragging?

Already aware one could use the right-click->Move; that would take several seconds to pick a folder after very carefully maneuvering through the folder list versus half a second drag/drop.

Version 60.2.1 via Ubuntu 18.04 using Xfce4.

In "Account Settings > Outgoing SMTP Servers" I expected to have the ability to fully specify authentication options for each server. Conversely, I have discovered that I can only set the authentication method to "Normal Password" but I can't set the actual password.

Even though I'm using multiple outgoing SMTP servers, in "Preferences > Security > Passwords" I can only see one IMAP server and one SMTP server.

How can I set the password for the other SMTP servers?

When I implemented the (very helpful) advice I got to my line-spacing question (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1243087) my Toolbars "washed out" (see before and after below). I'm still using the theme TT Dark without changes. Must be something about modding the css. Any ideas?

Hi, I'm using a dark GTK theme on Linux and when I search for messages using the Global Search, the results I get are unreadable as the font is white and the background also white (see attached screenshot).

Is there a way to change the font color, the background, or both? Preferably I'd like to change the background to black to match the rest of my GTK and Thunderbird themes, but if that's not possible I'd be happy with changing the font color to black so it becomes readable.

what are they doing to TB? v60.3.1

the thing that made it great was the addons.

now most of the addons don't work in v60.3.1

brilliant - who's bright idea was that?

why didn't they look at the most popular addons and include them in the code, configurable in the options.

why wasn't minimize to the system tray the default? or at least an option?

who wants a big icon sitting in the task bar at the bottom of the screen?

why doesn't it start minimized in the system try?

addons provided all this but now they don't work!!!!

i can't find a version of the calendar for v60.

also the new programing team break firefox in nearly every release.

i spend more time trying to sort out the mess every time they update things.

now i have to waste time trying to sort out TB60

time to look for alternatives to both i think. :-(

i have been using Thunderbird for a very very long time but this release takes the biscuit!!!! so very annoyed they are breaking it all the time.

will have to see if i can go back to whatever version was before, but that may mess things up so much it may not be worth the hassle. may lose all my contacts and emails!!!!!

may be simpler to switch to another email client.

also the write wind sometimes comes up in a narrow window, or sometimes things just dont work and i have to restart TB.

i want the exit X to minimize not exit, yet another addon that no longer works!!!!!!

what a mess

I simply want to make my custom background colors for messages I compose -permanent. I don't want to keep changing the hex color each time I draft a message. I did notice that the custom background colors are not also available in "options". Why aren't the custom colors that you choose in composing a new message set there?

I updated to Thunderbird v 60.3.2 yesterday and the Add-On "Close on Reply" has been disabled, being marked as incompatible with this version of Thunderbird. Is there another Add-On or setting that allows me to close the window with the original email when I click Reply or Forward ?

I was happy with the version of Thunderbird I was using previously and have no need of the changes introduced in the latest version, so if there is no setting or compatible add-on I would be very happy to revert to v 52.9.1. How can I do this ?

Since upgrading to version 60.3 I have the following problem:

For composing messages I have set font and size to suit my taste. However, when I read my message in the folder "messages sent" the font is always larger. The same applies for messages received. Whatever I change in the settings it has no effect. Please advise. Thank you.

I no longer see the warning for empty trash, I try to change the emptyTrash.dontAskAgain in the Options/Advanced/General/Config. editor to false but don't work and also the ConfirmBeforeDelete add-on is incompatible with ThunderBird 60.2.. How do I tell Thunderbird to request confirmation before empty the email trash?

The old notification was unobtrusive and listed multiple new emails, but the new one is big, bold yellow and only lists 1 email. Is there any way to customize the notification back to the way it was before T-bird 60.

This isn't a question, it's a complaint. The other day a new version of Thunderbird was downloaded to my machine; it looked different and acted different in at least one unhelpful way. I spent an hour trying to get help from the forum to no avail. I wanted to change the settings so that Thunderbird would not automatically open the next email upon my deletion of an email. Previous versions have done that also, but the Help mechanism told the user how to correct that annoyance, so I'm sure that changing a setting will do so. I searched the forum; one answer to the question said "Solved", but when I clicked on everything in sight, the promised solution did not appear. Super frustrating (which will no doubt affect my yearly Mozilla contribution).

Please look at the pictures: 1. the image "Thunderbird Address Book scrollbar is extremely narrow.png" shows the new Address Books scrollbar 2. the image "Example of normal width scrollbar.png" shows the scrollbar within a particular Address Book

I can't find anything in Thunderbird that will allow me to change this. The normal width scrollbar is probably set in Windows settings.

I had to reinstall Thunderbird. Before I could tag particular emails and they would stay tagged forever. Now, with the reinstallation of Thunderbird, when I open it all the tags disappear as I move my cursor to the top of the page. I can not find any settings that can make the tags permanent.

I just upgraded to Thunderbird 60 and wish to use Google Search as the default search engine. I installed the Google Search for Thunderbird addon, and restarted Thunderbird, but Google Search does not show as choice in the search-engine list. Am I missing a step?

After recent Thunderbird upgrade to 60.3.2 on 26 November 2018 from TB 56, the add-on "manually sort folders 1.1.1" ceased working. Moreover the upgrade changed my sort structure to one that is not convenient!!!! I have adored Firefox and Thunderbird because they were mutable to a style that I liked, or can be, to the taste of others. I liked Outlook Express, and Thunderbird allowed me to recreate that!!!!!! And the add-ons were brilliant to enable change from the new squared tabs back to the logo in the upper left and the rounded tabs, or to further change TB to allow me to further tweak all my pop accounts to work together as one under Local folders, with 1 Sent and 1 Drafts above Inbox and 1 Trash at the end of Inbox. Now I cannot have that!!!

Why would Mozilla stop all of that???? Now I have no recourse, and can loathe Mozilla products that act like those from Microsoft???!!!!!

Please add a "update back out" for updates to the prior version when you make these types of updates - PLEASE!!!!!!! And allow us to change the look and feel like you used to!!!! Some people like a color other than BLACK, like the old Model T!!! Even Microsoft add a backout often!
