Firefox only starts in safemode, I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times
Using PC with XP. Firefox had been working fine on this PC for a few years, Have had to fix a few times always before if needed by uninstalling completely if need be and starting all new,
Not this time, Have version 22.0 installed, no add on's since I reinstalled so should be clean install no ext or plug ins added yet, but it still does not run in normal mode, only in safe mode.

This sucks, Firefox suddenly loaded while in normal windows, I do not have a clue why it worked, but it went right back to not running soon as I closed it and tried to re-open it again..grrrrrrrrr
Ok nothing seems to be working to get this problem resolved, I give up!
I was able to get Safari to run and run correctly so for now am switching to only use it primarily and IE as needed, giving up on FF for now on this machine any way.
Please do note that Apple doesnt support windows anymore so you are up to hundreds of security bugs.

Thanks for your help but I had to use it, since IE just much of a pain in but and can't get FF or Chrome to work now on this PC as they use to..kinda no other choice.
May reformat the drive one day soon since I think there are other things going on with this PC no resolving!
I have the same problem but am getting round it by opening Mozilla in the automatic start-up. It then works normally. If I close it however it will not start again unless I log out and then log in again. This works 80% of the time. As it starts absolutely normally in safe mode I suspect there must be some other program causing the problem.

The good news is that safemode is a troubleshooting procedure and as we know what it does we should be able to solve your problem by finding out which change allows you to start in safe mode, but not in ordinry mode.
Also if looking for a quick fix instead of uninstalling and reinstalling; which is unlikely to help; consider trying Reset
