PDFs no longer open in Waterfox. They launch Adobe Reader instead.

I am using the current version of Waterfox (v13) on my Win7/64 system. As soon as I converted from the previous Firefox version, PDFs stopped opening within a browser window, instead bringing up Acrobat as a stand-alone application. I've never experienced this before and would like to go back to the old behaviour of FF/WF opening PDFs natively, with no extra plugins.

Am I missing something obvious here?

I am using the current version of Waterfox (v13) on my Win7/64 system. I solved this by using the free PDF Viewer plugin.

Waterfox is a third-party build of Firefox.
You should contact Waterfox for support with their program.

That I did not know, however, even after removing WF and installing Firefox 14.0.1 I still have the same problem. PDFs are still bringing up Acrobat reader instead of rendering in Firefox.

You can check the settings in Tools > Options > Applications
