Finished downloads don't disappear in the download panel despite browser.download.panel.removeFinishedDownloads is set "true". How can this problem be solved?

  • New download manager --> http://www.ghacks.net/2012/04/18/firefoxs-new-download-internet-how-to-restore-the-old/
  • browser.download.useToolkitUI, false - to enable the new DM; true for the old one
  • browser.download.panel.removeFinishedDownloads (controls retention behavior in the Downloads Panel only), true - button disappears as soon as the downloads are complete; false - the button stays until the downloads are removed
  • browser.download.manager.retention :
    • 0 - downloads removed upon completion
    • 1 - completed and canceled downloads removed on quit
    • 2 - downloads never removed automatically (default)

Hi,

You can try deselecting Remember my browsing and download history after setting Firefox will to Use custom settings for history in Tools (Alt + T) > Options > Privacy. To delete just the download history, select Clear history when Firefox closes > Settings and enable only the Downloads history option.
