When I click on my Firefox Icon to start it, it loads over 20 Firefox pages... it just keeps loading them. Why and what do I need to do to fix it?

I cannot open just one page of Firefox to work from. It opens over 20 Firefox pages when I click on the Icon to open it. HELP!

Solution choisie

try this:

go to TOOLS then OPTIONS then GENERAL then in session When firefox starts put SHOW MY HOME PAGE, click OK to save changes, then exit firefox and re-start it.
