total confusion using Synch
I purchased a new Dell Inspiron 580 to replace my 5-6 year old Dell desktop. I figured the easiest way to transfer my Firefox setting was with the Synch application. The troubles are many- on the OLD desktop when I created the Synch account it would absolutely not let met input my current email- I got 2 characters in and got an error message. The systems appears to have somehow "learned" my now 3 year old former email; and will only let me use that email! Fine, I did that and uploaded my Firefox data to the synch server and saved the key... Then I tried to create the synch account on the new computer. When I used the same email and password the new computer told me the password was no good and I had to change the password. I "successfully" changed the password to what it already was and the message on the new computer is to check my email for a link to complete the process. However, the email to which it was sent is the old email that has not existed for 3 years!! Obvioulsy I cannot access that link- What the F%# do I do now? Thank you
