can't save bookmarks in existing bookmark folders - can't see folders

complete system was reinstalled. Didn't have any bookmarks after that. Imported bookmarks (do not know if they are up to date). Tried to bookmark a page but the folders I imported do not get displayed when I try to save the bookmark to one of them. I only see Bookmarks Tool, Bookmarks Menu and Unsorted Bookmarks, none of the folders I imported.

When might I expect help with this problem from Mozilla support?

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
